I recently read "A Guide to the Good Life - The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy" by William B. I took my own advice and I bought a copy of Professor Irvine's book, "A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy". My top three Stoic books for the novice are: A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy. A Guide to the Good Life Review - A Guide to the Good Life The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy by William Irvine Oxford University Press, 2008. I printed this out and hung it on my fridge. Irvine's book "A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy", and summarized it. It was called “A Guide to the Good Life, The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy”. After reading A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy, by William B. He has written a series of “book notes” – more than a review, not quite a precis of the book. I just read the book A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy by William B. From reading the book, I learned that Stoicism was actually a shockingly advanced old philosophy that found many followers in ancient Rome. It's a really great summary of stoic ideas.
